About
Lindsey Chiswick
Terenex is an independent strategic advisory practice founded by Lindsey Chiswick, advising boards and executive teams on emerging technology and AI in demanding, highly regulated environments.
Her perspective is grounded in more than 20 years' experience across policing, intelligence and national security, including most recently leading performance, operational strategy and resource planning across a £3.9bn organisation of more than 40,000 people.
She has led nationally on AI-enabled Facial Recognition across UK policing and advised Ministers and Parliamentary Committees on AI, risk and public trust. Her work combines technology strategy with the realities of governance, operational delivery and institutional legitimacy.
Value
Advisory focus
Terenex works with leaders when the stakes of a technology decision go beyond the technology itself, into strategy, delivery and reputation. That might mean a major investment under scrutiny, a stalled delivery programme, a contested governance structure, or confidence under strain.
Value here is not technical implementation. It is the judgement to deploy emerging technology responsibly, design operating models that work, and shape technology decisions that can earn trust and withstand scrutiny. The cost of getting it wrong is measured in confidence, not just financial performance.
Executive advisory. Board and senior-leader counsel on the decisions that determine whether technology, risk and reputation move together or pull apart.
Emerging technology and AI. Deciding what to adopt and what to resist, then building the operational and regulatory credibility that makes adoption stick, not stall.
Data, analytics and risk. Applying data and emerging technology to complex organisational risks, including insider threat, drawing on experience that turned fragmented workforce data into operational capability and surfaced previously hidden risk.
Complex transformation. Turning around troubled programmes, redesigning operating models, and building the cross-sector alliances that make change durable.
The hardest technology decisions are rarely technology decisions.
They are questions of governance, credibility, operational reality and leadership.
